Catherine’s art is inspired by over 30 years of exploring her natural habitat: the pristine shoreline waters, the snowy hilltop mountains, the forests of the subalpine, and the wildlife native to the regions surrounding her apartment studio in White Rock, BC.
Like the marshes on the nearby mainland, the inner part of the spit plays a crucial role in the migratory journey of birds travelling during the spring and fall. As you piece together the stunning landscape, be on the lookout for sand castles, orcas, and humpback whales.
